In other words, I won Nanowrimo this year! It's my first time with a whopping total of 50,044! lol I could write more but I realized I need more structure and will have to rewrite what I already have so I decided to wait and get a good outline before I fix it. lol It was fun and I am amazed that I was able to finish it by mostly pants-ing it. I usually consider myself a plotter so it was interesting to find out that I can do both. haha

Homework Sketch Dump 20 + Week 3 of Nanowrimo

Barely hanging on but at least the word count isn't bad! That Reverse Nanowrimo method really works for me. XD

Right now I'm at over 47k and technically I can finish today but I've had other time sinks such as RL and school but the guilty thing I've been doing to procrastinate is reading. XD I've been reading more than I've been writing but that's ok since I can pump that 3k out in a day. I'm not saying that to be arrogant but it's nice to know how much I can write since I've never really measured or tested myself. I do need to focus and just get that done so I can read some more. Great priorities, I know. But I miss reading more than I thought and then I have that huge pile of TBR books staring at me in the face. So it's all logical, right? Right?! OTL

That's one thing I've learned during this, I can write a lot when I want to as long as I  know what's going on in the scene or know where I'm going. So a typical day can be 2k to 4k but I'd be pushing it if I did more. Haven't been sketching too much but I was finally able to play with some digital painting for my dear friend Kira which you can see here and here.

For now I'm just working on trying to finish my final first, then finish Nanowrimo, and lastly read all the books! lol Hope you all are doing well and that you all are being productive!

Also Happy Early Thanksgiving to my US peeps! I don't think my next post will happen until after the holiday so stuff yourselves silly and enjoy all the time with your family and friends. :D I know I will try to! *evil grin*

Sketches I had to do for my 3D modeling homework at school. These sketches were all copied from Bridgman's Complete Guide to Drawing from Life. It's interesting to learn to draw from it. Hopefully it improves my anatomy. XD

2012 Sketch Dump + Nanowrimo: Half Way Mark

Hanging in there. Since I'm using the Reverse Nanowrimo Method it should all be downhill from here....but that won't stop me from writing more than I need to while I'm in the zone!

Whoops! Forgot to add to this! Well I've officially wrote over 40k! I was able to pull off another 20k this week by writing 6k yesterday which happens to be my personal best for my daily word count. The official word count for the personal best is 6,224 which beats out the previous 4,330. I wasn't sure I was going to make the word goal but I'm extremely proud to have done it. :D The current official word count to date right now is 41,248. I'm writing a lot more than I thought I was going to do which I think is a good thing.

When I hit 50k I'm considering whether or not to continue writing or stopping and writing a decent outline before I continue writing...I'm torn because I don't really know where I'm going with the story but I also want to keep writing while I can and am in the spirit. We'll see what happens when I hit 50k which I expect to be some time next week. :D

Nanowrimo 2013 + 2011 Sketch Dump

Man, November crept up on me. I had planned on getting a lot of reading done before the start of November. I specially wanted to knock off a few books off the list of ARCs I have. They are supposed to be done for my book review blog. I'm still working on those but I think it might be time to invest in an e-reader. It's harder to read when I'm on the computer but I still personally prefer reading in the printed book format.

Whoot! So Nanowrimo starts today! I'll be using the Reverse Nanowrimo Method where I write a bulk of the word count at the beginning of the month. :D I've scheduled some sketch posts to go up every Friday this month. I'm not sure I'll be able to post any text with it (I'll try if I can) but I should have been doing this all along. Sorry there were no posts lately. Really sort of regretting taking a class this semester hasn't been too fun. OTL

Oh the story I plan on working on for Nanowrimo is "Decryption" which I'm mostly "pants-ing" so I don't really know what I'm going to do with it but hopefully it'll be fun and interesting. I'm considering starting a new sketchbook specifically for it which I want to call a "writer's sketchbook" or something along the lines of that. It'll be to help develop the story as I go. lol The thing is I already sort of have 3 notebooks going. Well 2 but the 3rd might either be a story bible or an "edits" list notebook. lol I've been indecisive lately but the start of the event will get my butt into gear.
