April 2014 Campnanowrimo + 2012 Sketch Dump

Campnanowrimo for April is quickly approaching! I'm going to try to crack out two novella first drafts at what I think will be 20k each. It might be more or less but the goal is 40k words for the month and project. :)

I've got my cabin mates and they look like a wonderful lively bunch. I'm excited to get going. I shouldn't be because I've not worked on my outlines much at all. Still, can't help but bounce with excitement at getting this project started.

Time to get some projects finished! Follow me on Twitter to keep up with my progress! I'll also try to update my weekly status.

Are you guys going to be joining in? Let's cheer each other on! :D

Review: Shoplet Featuring Sanford Sharpie

Hey all! Here's another great review from Shoplet! Feel like I'm in Sharpie heaven with this post! One can never have enough Sharpie products in my opinion.

This round came with:

So I'm going to start with the Premium Pen. I've actually won one from a giveaway awhile ago. I do like the pen and the ink. It's extremely classy and the ink comes out easily. It writes with a nice fine black clean line and it doesn't bleed or feather on the paper I used.

Shiny stainless steel that I don't think has any issues with leaving finger prints. The top connects to the body with a nice firm click so you know it's attached and stays attached. The clip is nice but I don't really use it but it's very nice to have.

The top lid is postable to the body which I like so there's less likely of a chance for me to lose my lid. lol

It's sort of a felt-like tip. The grip is a little rubbery and doesn't have too much flex when you squeeze it but it makes sure you don't loose your grip.

Refillable! Awesome!

This is where I had a bit of a problem. This is my pen that I won in a giveaway and had already gone through some extensive use. The tip sort of flattened due to my grip or heavy use of pressure on the pen.

Also it did dry out after awhile so the pen needed more encouragement to write to the point where I stopped using it because I needed a new refill. I guess I did like the pen more than I thought I would. I did end up giving my other pen to my brother who was very pleased with it. He liked how classy and elegant it looked and I knew it would go to a good home. lol

So another little issue I had was that the pen ink was to be water and smear resistant. I guess it appears that way but for me I need more resistance than that. It could have been the paper I used but I don't know. Also I just put a water droplet on my finger tip and ran it across the ink. It's still legible though so that's good.

I amend my statement in the picture. It IS SMEAR RESISTANT but I'm not fond of that smear even though I'm right handed.

Ok so the markers were my favorite part of the review. :) The Neon Permanent Markers were something I've been wanting to try for awhile. I don't really need them for anything in particular so I've been holding off but I'm glad I got my hands on them now!

It's main purpose appears to decorate items. It claims to be fluorescent under black light but as I lack the resources I'll have to take them for their word.

The colors are bright and vivid. Sorry my photos don't do them justice. Imagine as if the colors were highlighter colors and that's more accurate. The colors look more faded in my photos than they actually are so please disregard that. The second picture below is the most accurate of the colors but they are still a hair brighter than that.

Also I'm such a doof. For some reason I thought the neon markers would show up on the black paper that was provided too. lol It doesn't. It's not legible anyways. You can see the ink reflection in the third picture below.

Lining up the colors with their respective pen.

Last but not least Metallic Permanent Marker are gorgeous colors. I've used the silver marker before and have always been a fan. I was excited to try the gold which happened to be just as wonderful. The colors are more opaque than their neon counterparts. Not to mention more shiny. I like shiny.

They laid down nice clean lines with consistent ink flow which is great. It also proved to be water and smear proof as claimed.

Ok so another silly thing I did. I thought the sunglasses were a freebie. Then I realized you could decorate them! haha I was wondering who would want white when it could get dirty easily. I've always been a dark colored kind of girl. lol Anyways, decided to try out all the colors on the sides and there we go!

True to color! I'm not sure I would have been able to figure out how to not make them look streaky. I guess I wasn't supposed to use them in solid colors. lol Probably more with doodling hearts or flowers or something. lol

Shiny!

Homework Sketch Dump 27 + April Campnanowrimo 2014

I'm still working on CampNanoWrimo stuff. Mostly outlines and trying to figure out the story line/time line. Yeah I know that's kind of vague but the week before April I'll go ahead and give a brief summary of the story. It'll be interesting as I've been bouncing the idea off a few friends who appear to be extremely interested in the story. I still have a few kinks I need to work out though. lol

Speaking of that, would anyone be interested in joining my cabin this April Campnano? My username is "aisazia" and since it has to be a mutual acceptance you'll have to share your username with me. :) The only thing I ask is that you'll be active. I've done it before but my cabin mate quickly fell off the wagon...Hoping to not have that happen this time around.

Comment or contact me if you're interested! :)

Sketches I had to do for my 3D modeling homework at school. These sketches were all copied from Bridgman's Complete Guide to Drawing from Life. It's interesting to learn to draw from it. Hopefully it improves my anatomy. XD

Planning for April CampNanoWrimo + 2012 Sketch Dump

I'm going to do CampNanoWrimo again in April but I plan on doing it a little differently. I'm going to see if I can do a couple of rough drafts for the month. I'm not too sure which project I'm going to work on. I've been switching back and forth between a few of them. OTL I know, I'm horrible. XD

The overall goal for the month is to finish 20k a week for a few novellas. I'm attempting to write two first drafts for two stories. That'll be a total of 40k but more would be better. It'd be great if I could finish the drafts earlier but we'll see how it goes. lol I know I'm capable of 20k a week but that's pushing it for me. haha Better not miss a day. XD I have a general idea of the stories but rough outlines are going to be generated in order for me to write it well. lol

Now to determine which stories to work on....lol Wish me luck!

2012 Sketch Dump

Sorry, nothing to really say this week. I was going to try to write something vast and significant but nothing really happened. Had a dinner to talk about bridesmaid stuff for my sister's wedding that went well. Otherwise, not too much else. XD Sorry I'm so boring.
